PersonalityThere's not very much to say about Son Goten. His father his Son Gokuh, his mother ChiChi and his older brother Son Gohan. His best friend is (Chibi) Trunks, with whom he's always getting into trouble.He was born after his father died in the battle against Cell. They met when Gokuh requested a special authorization to come to Earth (dead) for a day, to take part in the Martial Arts World Championship. Physically, Son Goten looks a lot like his father when he was young. He dresses in the same way, too. But Goten's fighting capabilities are superior to those of Gokuh's when he was the same age (he turned SSJ when he was seven and, taught by Gohan, learnt how to fly in practically no time). He was runners-up in the Martial Arts World Championship, Junior Class, beaten in the final by Trunks. The two of them are the first to try Gokuh's fusion technique. When they merge, they become Gotenks, who looks like a small version of Vejita, with black and white hair. |
TechniqueLike his father and brother, Son Goten knows how to perform the KamaHameHa attack, but not with the same accuracy and perfection. In fact, Goten can't actually control the trajectory of the energy ball, so it loses most of its efficiency. Considering his age, however, he's not all that bad.He learnt how to turn into SSJ very early in his life. He's only introduced in the series at the age of seven and he can already accomplish this, surprising his brother and, later, just about everyone else. The fusion is the last of the few mentionable techniques Goten can apply. Goten uses the fusion process with Trunks, in order to increase their fighting potential and beat Buu (for a small summary of this technique, see the Technique section on Son Gokuh's page). As Gotenks, they are able to reach SSJ and SSJ3 states. Look at the image below. |
